DIY's for your aesthetic

DIY's have been the affordable and fun way to decorate your outfits. They could be a way to enhance your fashion design skills or make a dupe of a item you love. Either way DIY's are lots of fun! Here are some easy DIY's I have found for some popular styles:

Cyber y2k: Von Dutch pants

Von dutch pants were super popular back in the early 2000s. The fashion trend has made its way to many y2k aesthetics. But Von Dutch pants can be pricey so here is an affordable way to achieve this look:

What you'll need:

1. Iron on Von Dutch patch

2. Any pair of old plain jeans

You want to iron on the patch to the back of the the jeans. Pick jeans that do not have anything on the back and that are easy to iron on. After ironing on wait a bit to let cool and enjoy your new fashionable Von Dutch jeans.

Indie kid/ Kidcore: Beaded necklace

This DIY is quite simple and you can have a lot of fun with it! Colorful beaded necklaces are all over these two aesthetics. Some sell for $20-$30! It is way cheaper to make them on your own so here is all you need to make your own beaded necklaces:

What you'll need:

1. A silver plain necklace

2. Beads

Apply the beads onto the necklace whichever way you like and boom you got yourself a perfect aesthetic necklace!

Romantic goth: Handheld mirror

This is the perfect room decor piece for romantic goth! Mirrors like these can be hard to find or a little bit pricey. But making them is so much fun and affordable! Here is what you need to make your own goth handheld mirror:

1. Black plain handheld mirror

2. Decor (black roses, jewels, skulls)

3. Hot glue gun

Glue your decor the way you want on the back of the mirror. You can also put decor around the mirror itself (that's one of my favorite ways to decorate mirrors) You should have a gorgeous gothic mirror for yourself once your done!

Cottagecore: Branch jewelry holder

If your making your bedroom nature themed this is definitely a must have jewelry holder! Here is what you need to make a branch jewelry holder:

1. A drill or screwdriver

2. A branch (you can buy a fake one or find one outside)

3. Small rope

4. Metal hooks

When you get the branch drill or make as many tiny holes as you want at the bottom of the branch. These holes will be for the hooks. Then make two holes on the opposite ends of the branch. Make sure those holes go through the branch.

Take two pieces of string and tie knots at the end of them. Then put those strings through the two holes. Once there through the holes bring the two strings together and tie them. This will allow you to hang the branch from the wall. Hang some jewelry through the hook and now you have the perfect jewelry holder.

Parisian: Pearl barrettes

Pearl barrettes are super fun to make especially with friends. There is two ways you can make a pearl barrettes. You can either decorate the barrette with the pearls with different patterns or you can take a wire and make it into different shapes and glue the pearls onto the wire. Either one you choose both are a lot of fun to do! Here is what you will need to make a pearl barrette:

1. A plain barrette

2. Wire (if you plan to make shapes)

3. Faux pearls

If you plan to make shapes get pearl beads as well

4. Hot glue gun

If you are planning to just decorate the barrette then hot glue the pearls to the barrette any way you like. Definitely get creative on the way the pearls are put on.

If you are planning to make shapes then make the shape you want with the wire then add the pearl beads. After the pearls have been put on the wire then hot glue the wire to the barrette.
