Moschino resort 2020

Since it's spooky season I thought we would take a look at one of my favorite halloween runway shows of all time. This collection premiered in Los Angeles 2019 and featured stars like Suki Waterhouse and Violet Chachki. Jeremy Scott gave his signature twists to classic and beloved halloween characters. References to movies such as Frankenstein, Scream, The Shining, Dracula, and many more. What better place to show this collection at the Universal studios lot! Here are my favorite looks from this spooky collection:

1- This look is heavily inspired by Drew Berrymores role in the horror movie Scream. Suki Waterhouse did an amazing recreation of this role in the show. The Frankenstein jeans and shoes are everything in this look! But my favorite part has to be the matching ghost sweater and handbag.

2- I love this Frankenstein chic look. The matching leather jacket and skirt set is definitely something I would love to wear during spooky season. The matching platform boots and sunglasses are so cute. We all know Frankenstein is known for his big platforms. The mini black cat handbag is adorable!

3- This look is a graphic print dress referencing the horror movie Dracula from 1931. I love the idea of the open shoulders it makes the illusion that the model look like she is missing her arms. The dress gives me Wednesday Addams vibes with the white Peter Pan collar. I thought the light blue color of the dress was an interesting choice since its not usually color associated with halloween.

4- Both of these looks are a reference to The Shining from 1980. Even though each dress has the same pattern one is a button up dress while the other has a bow tie collar. But my favorite part of these looks are the shoes I love the pastel pink and yellow color. The are very school girl type shoes but with a edgy twist to them.

5- This has to be one of my favorite looks in this collection. It is a reference to a famous scene from King Kong. I thought the way King Kongs hand wraps around the dress was so creative. The dress itself is very classic but as that Moschino touch with the gold lettering and platform heels. Overall one of the best look in my opinion in this collection.

6- I love this scarecrow couture look. Especially the hat and the Jack-O-lantern tote. The hay coming out of the outfit looks really good when the model is walking.

7- I love this hat! It so kooky and perfect for a perfect halloween witch. I thought the feather on top was such a funny accent to the hat.

8- This look is taking inspiration from the undead bride. The wedding dress is totally 80s and I love the added spider to the front of the dress. I also love the high low cut of the dress. I would love to wear this look for halloween!

9- I love this entire look. The coat is so beautiful and classic but I love the spooky twist to it. The spiders are so cute but I also love the classic Moschino bat handbag. Let's not forget those amazing platform shoes.

10- This look is inspired by little red riding hood. I love this red coat especially the bottom of the coat. The way the coat flows while walking look really cool and can not forget the black coffin bag.

11- This look surprised me a lot. The whole outfit was inspired by The Mummy from 1959. I was very surprised on how realistic the dress was. It looks like it was really made out of mummy bandages. Of course its not a Moschino mummy without the jacket and the jewelry.

12- I absolutely love this look! The sequin leotard with the matching trench coat is so beautiful. The dripping blood necklace has to be my favorite piece in this look it is definitely an eye catcher.

13- Violet Chachki's dress so absolutely gorgeous. This look is taking inspiration from icons like Vampira and Morticia Addams. The dress has a sequin heart being stabbed as blood drips down the dress. It's such a classic halloween look and definitely one of my favorites.

14- This ghost dress is adorable. I love the surprised ghost face on the dress! But the white patchwork patterned boots are definitely my favorite part of the look.

1- Matching the same leather look as in the women's collection. I love the Frankenstein leather look for the menswear collection as well. Adding the chain necklace with the satin trick or treat bag. Also I am obsessed

2- This suit is a Dracula twist on Violet Chachki's stabbing heart dress. Love how the blood drips down the jacket all the way to the pants. I love the Dracula bag and of course the knife through the head.

3- A very Casper the friendly ghost look. I am obsessed with the white leather suit and the spider web top. The matching ghost hat and bedazzled ghost necklace is everything. I would love to wear that necklace for halloween night.

4- Another Frankenstein inspired look. The platform boots, the matching zipper patterned suit, and the safety pin in the head are all very Frankenstein like references. I would of love to see safety pins added to the choker.

5- I love this trick or treat candy look. The candy bar patterned outfit and backpack giving very trick or treater chic. I am also obsessed with the plastic blue trench!

6- This is a very fashionable satan ensemble. I love the classic Dracula cape with Moschino spider web suit underneath. Can't forget the devil horns with the hat. I can almost see this costume at a regular halloween party.

7- This suit is super interesting. The pattern is definitely something I would not expect at a halloween fashion show. It's definitely giving me Mad Hatter or Clown vibes. Especially with that colorful tie. But again I am obsessed with the plastic trenches.

8- This is the classic halloween bully ensemble. The cut up shorts and the baseball bat makes the look very cartoony which is perfect for halloween. But I love the signature Moschino spider web patterned leather jacket.

9- I am so obsessed with this suit. It's not your typically halloween ensemble for this show but it is perfect suit for a night out on the town. The bedazzled ghost necklace and spider chocker gives this suit the spooky vibes.

10- This has to be my favorite look in the menswear collection. Mainly because of the hat. I love the Frankenstein striped suit but the hat is so fun and creative and makes the whole look. The mini skeletons are so cute around the hat and just pairs well with the suit overall.
